If you don't know what the Rubber Room is check this out. And then go see the movie when it comes out. One teacher from my school was sent to the Rubber Room at the beginning of this year and he is still there.

The Rubber Room is scary! A teacher in my school was there for two years. And I know a teacher, turned AP, who was just sent to the Rubber Room as part of a harassment campaign. *shudder*
The rubber room always existed, but has really taken off since the 2005 contract when we gave up so many of our rights for a few dollars. Remember when so many of us discouraged you from going into school early at the beginning of last year (might have even been the year before)? It really is little things like that- things that teachers consistently gave up- that has left us in the position we're all in now.
If nothing else, I hope you're starting to recognize the evil that lurks in the hearts of the DOE.
